(Unofficial) Last Day of School

Yesterday the girls had their last day of classes! That means no more early wake-ups, packed lunches, and bus rides until September. Yay!

Last packed lunch until September

School isn't quite over yet though, since high school students are now writing exams. Emily has three exams coming up (Grade 11 Physics, Chemistry, and Grade 12 Math) for which she's been studying very hard! Jessi only has an interview to complete with her Art teacher; the rest of her classes this semester didn't have exams.

Yearbooks were distributed and lockers cleared out this week. Jessi also received a medal for achieving the highest mark in the Pascal Math Contest. Way to go, Jessi!

School will officially be out next Thursday, though Jessi will be done by tomorrow morning and Emily by Tuesday afternoon. We're all looking forward to it! Hello, Summer Break ♥.

KASSAA Badminton

Jessi played in her first regional badminton tournament this week, where she represented her school in a junior mixed doubles team. The best part is that Jessi's partner was her cousin, Colin!

Everyone came to watch, including Emily, Grand-Maman, Grand-Papa, and Colin's family. Steve was there as a rival coach -- he coaches for Emily's school! But of course he cheered for his daughter too.

Jessi and Colin won three out of their four matches, sending them to the finals. There they lost, earning them 2nd place in junior mixed doubles. Amazing effort by all!

From playmates to teammates ♥

Congrats, Jessi & Colin!

Jessi's March Break: Greece Trip

Jessi's March Break was very different from ours! Months ago she signed up to go on her school's Grecian Odyssey with EF Tours: a 9-day trip that explored the sights of Athens, Olympia, Delphi, Argolida, and Saronic Islands.

She was lucky enough to be travelling with three of her closest friends, so they made lots of memories together ♥.

Overall, Jessi says the trip was amazing, but also exhausting, with early wake-ups, lots of walking/touring, and almost-daily 3 to 4-hour bus rides to the next location. This was their detailed itinerary:

Like her Mama, Jessi enjoyed taking plenty of photos during her trip (thanks to her new phone!). Here is her collection of pictures, mainly taken from the bus or while touring, including some group shots from teachers. What a beautiful-looking place!

Jessi got back from Greece on Friday night after a 24-hour-long travel day. She was exhausted!! The next day she showed us all her pictures and spent the rest of the weekend recovering just in time for school on Monday.

Welcome home, Jessi! ♥
