Despite the rain and wind, the girls' first official trick-or-treat outing was a success! They stayed warm with a hat, mittens, and two shirts, two pairs of pants, and two pairs of socks under their costumes. The girls were not fans of any houses that had dogs (they reluctantly stayed for the candy). The funniest part was no matter how much we rehearsed saying "Trick or Treat!" and "Thank you!", the girls just always stared blankly when people opened their doors and gave them candy. They did talk when prompted. Ha!

Daddy Turns 30 - Part II

While there were no candles, no cake, and only a couple of hours of family time today, I'm sure Daddy felt the love!

Steve is three days away from turning 30! It's going to be a week-long celebration -- first up was a birthday lunch with my family today.

We'll celebrate a little bit more on his actual birthday (October 30th), though sadly Daddy will be in classes from 8:30am until 6:00pm that day. Then we have a party on Saturday at our cousins' house to look forward to! Daddy sure is a spoiled loved guy! ;)
