Busy Weekends

We just had a couple of very busy weekends! There were four major events that needed lots of prep and made the time fly by.

Event #1: Neighbourhood Garage Sale. The girls love gathering up all their old toys and knickknacks and selling them at my parents' annual garage sale. We didn't sell much this year, but it was still a nice way to spend a Saturday morning.

Event #2: Jessi's Birthday Party. Jessi's 15th birthday is coming up (tomorrow!!), so she invited some friends over last weekend to celebrate. The girls enjoyed some treats, played games, and sang karaoke!

Event #3: Paul Family Reunion. Yesterday we hosted our annual family reunion, with 26 relatives in attendance. It's always nice to see and catch up with Steve's cousins, uncles, and all the children!

Event #4: Snug Habour Cottage. Last but not least, today we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at Snug Harbour. The weather wasn't ideal (cold and misty), but just like last year we made the best of it.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend started with our annual trip to the Wynn Farms corn maze. This was our 8th year going, and though the girls are getting a bit old, we keep finding ways to make it fun. This year it was kids vs. parents with no map; maybe next year we'll try the moonlight version (where you bring flashlights and go through the maze in the dark).

Off they go!

There was not enough rain this summer, so some parts of the corn maze were pretty undergrown! It was funny to see Steve walk around walls half his size.

At the last station -- we win!

On Sunday we had dinner at my parents' with pumpkin pie and visitors from Petawawa. We are so thankful for family, food, and warm weather!

Side note: the girls and I were recently looking at old Thanksgiving blog posts and noticed that I'm often pictured with a plate of pumpkin pie! So it's time for a compilation:

For the love of pumpkin pie ♥

Last but not least, on Monday we drove up to Snug Harbour to hang out with Grammy, John, and the cousins. It was another beautiful, sunny day -- nice enough for Steve to take a dip in the lake! The kids had no problem coming up with fun games to play at the cottage.

Happy Thanksgiving!
