Jessica wanted a Mario-themed birthday party this year, which was (
yet again) super fun and easy to work with! From Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, to coins, power stars, and mushrooms, to red, green, blue, and yellow -- there was no end to the inspirations.
But first, Jessi insisted on making her own invitations (she actually started them
months ago). They turned out great!

The main items I worked on during the days leading up to the party was a themed birthday banner, "bricks and gloves" for smashing, and simple loot bags. The rest of the décor was just balloons, posters and toys (that the girls already had), and repositionable Mario wall stickers. Jessi had been wanting those stickers for months and patiently waited to receive them on her birthday.
Finally!
Turning 10 cardboard boxes inside out and adding brick lines
Turning Hulk hands into Mario gloves
Loot bags
(Chocolate coin, Mario sticker, and small activity set)
Everything was ready to go on party day!
Simple "coin" cupcakes
Jessi's headgear
"Mushroom" napkins, red cups, pipes, and coins
Birthday banner
Basement setup
Jessi's wall sticker art
Smashing bricks!
Colouring station
Tattoo station
And lots of power stars!
Ready, Set, Party!
