Happy Halloween!

Daddy is 38!

Three cheers for Steve who is now 38! His birthday yesterday was filled with well wishes, sweet cards, a couple of presents, family time and yummy food. We were fortunate enough to celebrate with his side of the family as well on Thursday at Snug Harbour! I didn't take any pictures at the cottage, but here are a few snapshots from yesterday.

Nathalieland Update - Twins/Sewing/Portrait

Twinsies. These two sisters decided to be super cute the other day and wear exactly the same outfit, from socks to pants to tops to sweaters and even coats, hats, and boots! And they even let Mommy take pictures to remember it by. How did I get so lucky??

Mommy's PJ Sewing. After a few failed attempts to shop for pyjama pants, I decided, like I always do in these cases, to make my own! I found some super soft and stretchy fabric at Fabricland for only $3/meter and in one week managed to make five pairs of pants. They are a variation on my shorts pattern, with a cuff added at the bottom. The best part? The PJ pants double as my running pants, so that I can go straight from the bed to the treadmill for my early-morning runs. Loving it so far!

Temporary gathering to fit the cuff

Learning to sew on cuffs!

Ready for my run!

Jessi's Stuffy Sewing. Jessi is also in sewing mode: she wants to make stuffies for her sister and friends for Christmas. I don't think I mentioned this before, but Jessi and I worked hard on a stuffy for Emily's birthday back in August. Now she has plans for three more stuffies. We'll be busy over the next couple of months!

Now on to Christmas Stuffy #1

Family Portrait. I also realized I didn't post our updated family portraits that we took in September for my mom's birthday, partly because they arrived late. We ran a bit short on time this year because we forgot that Costco doesn't offer in-store printing anymore. Given more time we might have even done another photo shoot, since the girls and I aren't as happy with the colours/background as in previous years. Oh well! Here we are.
