Happy Birthday Jessica!

My sweet little Jessica turned two today. Here's a photo recap of her special day.

Jessica's birthday was not off to a great start. She woke up at 2:30am and refused to go back to sleep until past 4:30am... Yikes!

Jessica went to Sportball with Daddy after nap time, then we had a low-key evening which included a walk/tricycle ride around the neighbourhood.

Jessica had a huge meltdown on the way home because she wanted to hold Emily's hand (but Emily had already gotten far ahead on her tricycle). I called Emily back and these two sisters had the sweetest moment yet. Emily apologized for not being there for her, took her hand and comforted her. They held hands the rest of the way home. Melt.my.heart.

What a lovely day for a lovely lady! Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know, Jessica! Happy 2nd birthday xox.

Construction - Week 31

Things are wrapping up with just 6 days left until closing day! Stone and brick are done, just stucco and aluminum details remaining. I met with the electricians today to discuss the details of the final (delayed) light fixtures. Other than that we are good to go!
