Steve is our rock, our teacher, our baker, and our joker.  These 11 years of photographs show just how dedicated he is to his girls. We are so thankful to have him as a daddy and husband!

Motherhood

Last month I was tagged on facebook for a Motherhood Photo Challenge. I was thankful that I had this blog and could quickly scroll through the years, picking out pictures that showed some of my favourite moments as a mom. I ended up with quite the collection in my (almost 11) years of motherhood and figured I should post them here too, including a few more from Emily's early years.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Boys!

Ludwig and Lemmy turned two years old yesterday! We celebrated by making them veggie cakes, playing the Birthday Song on the piano, and presenting them with handmade cards (from the girls). Emily and Jessi absolutely love their 'boys' and shower them with attention, cuddles, and daily treats (mostly hay and herbs).

In other fun news, while we were walking Lucy last week we spotted a snake in the grass! We didn't have our nets, but I managed to snatch it with my bare hands. Yeehaw!

Snake #4

Jessi named her "Nice Guy" -- a very apt name as she has been a pleasure to care for! She is very active in her terrarium and is a big fan of worms. Probably our favourite snake pet so far!

Here is what a feeding looks like: Steve goes to the backyard and weeds until he spots 2-3 worms. He brings them in, drops them into the terrarium one at a time, and we all love to observe the action.
