Charleston Lake 2025

It was time for our annual visit at my sister's campsite in Charleston Lake Provincial Park. This year we skipped the Boardwalk Trail and Discovery Centre, and instead spent the whole day at the beach, swimming, sunning, and playing. Steve and I took a hilarious canoe ride, where we realized we didn't quite know how to control a canoe without a keel. We made it back safely, thankfully!

We ended the afternoon with ice cream from the local convenience store (a favourite stop from when we were kids).

The Paschkowiak Chickens

A few months ago my sister's family decided to get backyard chickens! Albert built the coop and the chicks arrived in late May. We've really enjoyed watching the chickens grow these past few weeks -- they're so cute and different every time we see them. Here's a photo recap of the adventure so far.

We even took a (third) family portrait on Canada Day that included the chickens, since they are technically part of the family now. ♥
