Here are the highlights from 2017:
On the first day of January, we enjoyed the sights and sounds of Fort Henry's Lumina Borealis. Also this month: Jessi lost her two front teeth, the girls and I each acquired a ukulele, and my blog turned 7 years old.
Lots of love and celebration in February for Valentine's Day and Grand-Papa's birthday!
March was busy with dates, school plays, March break, and birthdays. I also posted my first ukulele update and video.
In April I submitted my first picture book manuscript (though I never heard back). We had lots of family time at Easter and our big Paul Family Reunion.
May was for Mother's Day and Jessi's 6th birthday! She had a blast at her Mario Birthday Party.
In July we visited Grammy and John in Owen Sound. The girls went to 4Cats Art Camp for a week and had their first eye appointments!
August was super busy: we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary, I visited the old Kingston Penitentiary, we drove to Cambridge to see Grammy and the butterflies, and we attended Auntie Kirtie and Kenny's wedding. Last but not least, Emily turned 8 and had a Stuffy Party with her friends.
The girls went back to school in September, entering grades 1 and 3. We updated our family photos for Grand-Maman's birthday and I gave the girls an interview. I wrote about playing the uke for 9 months, including injuries and fingerpicking.
October had some of the best: Thanksgiving, Daddy's birthday, and Halloween. Unfortunately it also had the saddest event of the year: Great-Grandpa Gerald's passing.
December was all about Christmas!
Happy New Year from Nathalieland!
