Our two grandpas have their birthdays in February and we celebrated both of them today!
Magazine cutout cards -- our specialty
First we hosted lunch with Nanny and Papa. Then later we met up at my parents' for a fondue dinner and birthday gathering. In between our celebrations Jessi and I went swimming and Steve and Emily went rock climbing. A full and fun day!
The girls plowed through making their valentines again this year, finishing them in one day at the end of January. Emily added some creativity to her cards by cutting out magazine pictures and gluing them to the front. They looked great!

My "gift" to the girls on Valentine's Day was a treat for breakfast: Nutella! While it used to be a daily breakfast option, Nutella is now just a special-occasions/vacations treat. We like it that way!

Jessi even took the time to make a tiny valentine for Luddy and Lemmy. So sweet!
The girls had plenty of treats at school, then got home and looked at their valentines. Sadly Emily was not feeling her best. She's caught a bug of sorts and spent the rest of the evening lying on the couch.

After dinner I had a "date" with my friend Jill -- we are taking an adult trampoline class on Thursday evenings! This was our sixth class (out of eleven). It's been an interesting adventure as I'm really out of my comfort zone, but I do enjoy the exercise and seeing myself improve over time.

Emily's taking the day off school today. Hopefully she's back to her old self soon! And hopefully the rest of us manage to stay healthy.
There was only a glimpse of our walk at Parrott's Bay in my Picture Per Hour post. Every once in a while, even in the middle of winter, we head out for a family walk in nature. What a treat (as long as we're all bundled up)!
The main paths at Parrott's Bay are pretty straight forward, so sometimes we like to venture out off the paths and into the woods...
Then we end up finding treasures like these: old rusty cars! I'd love to know why they're there.
