We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary over the course of four days with fun activities like brunch, a hike at Rock Dunder, a movie, family badminton, chocolate lava cakes, and thoughtful messages from family. And lots of pictures of course!

Learning to Cook. Although the girls have known how to cook plain pasta, grilled cheese sandwiches, and eggs for a while, we decided it was time for them to learn more recipes and skills in the kitchen. That's one of our goals for this summer, especially for Emily, since in a year she might be on her way to University in a different city!
Summer Mode. We are already enjoying our relaxing days at home. Our typical family activities include walks around the neighbourhood, reading on the deck, board games, and watching The Office. Separately Emily can be found coding on Scratch, Jessi crocheting and embroidering, Steve playing piano and coding, me painting and gardening.
Cat Cuddling. Jessi has started volunteering at the Kingston Humane Society. Her official title is "Cat Cuddler" since her only duty is to go around to the cat enclosures and pet/play/cuddle with them. Not a bad way to spend an hour! She often goes with a friend and loves it.
Postponed Father's Day. Here are a couple of pictures from Steve's 10K race as well as snapshots from our delayed Father's Day! So much better with him ♥.
