40 Years

My parents had more to celebrate this month: on Saturday they had their 40th wedding anniversary! Many of my dad's family members came down from Quebec to celebrate with us, which included enjoying the summery outdoors and going out to dinner at the local German restaurant, Amadeus.

Tomorrow my parents are heading off to Germany (where they got married) to celebrate with my mom's side of the family. Bon voyage!

And speaking of anniversaries, tomorrow Steve and I celebrate 19 years as a couple. What a special time!

Getting those family shots takes quite a bit of time and planning... Not to mention cooperation and patience. I'm grateful for my little family that has grown to humour me over the years and make this process a little bit easier. Here's to many more!

Our usual Sunday dinner yesterday was made special by the addition of presents, birthday cake, and a delicious pork fondue! All in honour of my mom's 61st birthday.

And the final summer event we did, during Labour Day weekend, was hold a garage sale at cousin Lorelei's house to sell lots of old toys and kids' stuff. It was the girls' idea and they had a blast! The adults... did a lot of the work ;).
