Snug Harbour in September

Grammy surprised us all by renting a cottage at Snug Harbour for a few days in September! It wasn't her usual cottage from the past years, but we were so glad to go after missing our chance in June.

First we made a stop at Frontenac Provincial Park for a hike on the Doe Lake trail, since it's just a few minutes away from Snug Harbour.

Jessi was thrilled with the number of snakes we saw

Getting a bit tired after hiking for over 1.5 hours!

It was a bit windy, but an otherwise lovely day to be outside! The fall colours were beautiful and the air was warm enough to get wet in the lake. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins.

Cottage #2 instead of the usual #1

Steve was the first to brave the cold water...

Steve and I had the pleasure of going back to the cottage the next day, while the girls were at school. We walked, canoed, and rested on another beautifully warm day. If the weather agrees, we just might go again on Wednesday!

20 Years (Corn Maze Edition)

It was 20 years ago today that Steve and I became a couple! I love this date and what it reminds me of: two teenagers, best friends, lots of laughing and excitement. A note from Steve, read during the national anthem, that said "Will you go out with me?" And a huge smile plastered on my face for the rest of the class, so eager to give him my answer. Who could have guessed where the next 20 years would take us?

Picture from our high school yearbook ♥

In order to celebrate, we took the kids to the corn maze at Wynn Farms (our third year in a row). We had a blast navigating through the maze with our kids, finding all the stations, and answering the questions. This year's theme was Pioneers!

So happy together ♥

The rest of our day was pretty relaxed and included one of my favourite meals: Vietnamese Pork Noodle Bowls.

Thank you Steve for 20 amazing years!
