After a nice lunch, the kids got into catching frogs and crossing the steam via rock paths. Steve and I even enjoyed kayaking up and down the stream. I hadn't planned on taking pictures, but when Jessi said she wanted to try kayaking for the first time, I couldn't resist capturing the moment! And of course once I had my camera out, I took a few more snapshots of our adventures.

I love the unique style of Dennis and Val's home -- so much to look at and enjoy.
Jessi came back from kayaking with a lily pad flower and two thumbs up! Her day got even better when she managed to catch a baby snake and "took care of him" for the rest of the afternoon.

To our delight, Emily decided she wanted to try the kayak too! I took her out and we had a nice, relaxing ride. Yay!
