January started off with some exciting news: we finally sold our old house. We continued to adjust to Daddy being gone to school and this little blog turned 4 years old!
Flu bug in January
February started with Jessica's very first haircut. We said goodbye to our old house and celebrated Valentine's Day and my dad's birthday.
March was filled with birthday celebrations: my 31st and cousin Lorelei's first. I also enlisted the help of my friend Sarah for adventures in wallpapering. At the end of the month I published my 800th post on this blog.
In April, spring arrived and we enjoyed the view of the creek/waterfall in our backyard. There was lots of family time celebrating Easter and my sister's birthday.
May was a fun and busy month! Daddy finished Teacher's College, I was showered with love on Mother's Day and got a new haircut, Jessica turned three, and Emily went on her first ever class trip. We even went to Grammy's cottage for Victoria Day weekend.
We started June by welcoming Oma to Canada for a six-week stay. We took the girls to the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto and celebrated Father's Day with our favourite fathers. The girls tried bunk beds for the first time!!... But it didn't last very long. We finished off the month with another trip to Grammy's cottage.
In July we made our yearly trip to the strawberry fields and were guests at an outdoor wedding in the rain. Both girls did soccer this summer and enjoyed swimming in our neighbour's pool.
August started with our 6th wedding anniversary and the beginnings of our backyard landscaping. We also took a road trip to visit Grammy, which included going to The Museum and The Butterfly Conservatory. Near the end of the month we spent a lovely day at the beach. Last but not least, Emily turned five and celebrated with her friends Hulk-Vector style!
Emily started her senior kindergarten year in September, and we all celebrated Grand-Maman's birthday. Work continued on the back and front yard landscaping, which means we were able to enjoy it a bit more! At the end of the month we gave apple picking a try.
October was for celebrating: Uncle Albert's birthday Oktoberfest style, the landscaping being done, Thanksgiving with both families, Daddy's birthday, and Halloween!
In November Jessica learned to use the potty and we finally purchased a dining room table. We enjoyed the winter weather and started getting ready for Christmas.
Finally, December was filled with Christmas celebrations. We enjoyed Emily's Holiday Concert, time with Nanny and Papa, Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Steve's.
What a peaceful and happy year!
2015 will bring one significant change: Jessica will be starting school in September! My heart aches just thinking about both my girls being gone full days, five days a week. What am I going to do with myself? Other exciting events include a trip to Germany with Jessica in May, a new niece or nephew (my sister is expecting her second child in July!), and Emily entering Grade 1.
Happy New Year from Nathalieland!
