One of Steve's goals for this year was to run in a 5K race and beat his high school record time. He achieved that this weekend! He ran in Kingston's Limestone Race Weekend with his friend Dan. It was a chilly, windy day, but at least the sun came out when it was time to run. I was there for moral support, to take pictures, and to carry all of their things while they ran.

It was a big crowd at the starting line, with Steve and Dan near the back, so it was a slow start! You can see them here around the 20-second mark:
While they ran, I walked around our historic waterfront by City Hall, carrying coats, water bottles, and a backpack full of clothes, wallets, and phones. Runners started crossing the finish line around the 15-minute mark, so I didn't have to wait too long.
The boys stuck together the entire race and in the final stretch their steps were super synchronized!
Steve's best time in high school was around 22:40 and he finished this race at 22:08, placing him 4th out of 17 for his age bracket. Nice work, Steve!
